In a recent article published by Today’s Parent, Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Grant shared her experience trying UROSPOT’s High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) therapy to strengthen her pelvic floor.
The treatment involves sitting fully clothed on a specialized medical chair that delivers electromagnetic energy to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscles. During a 28-minute session, the technology generates thousands of muscle contractions—far more than most people can achieve with traditional Kegel exercises alone. The goal is to strengthen the pelvic floor and help restore the neuromuscular connection between the brain, bladder, and pelvic floor, which can weaken due to childbirth, aging, or other life changes.
After completing six sessions over three weeks, Grant reported improved muscle control and greater confidence during everyday activities such as running, jumping, and sneezing. Grant concluded that it may be worthwhile for individuals looking for a non-invasive option to improve bladder control and pelvic health.
