Who is the right candidate for treatment at UROSPOT?
Women: UROSPOT is a great option for women of ANY age who desire a solution for bladder leaks, urgency, frequency, pelvic organ prolapse, and improvement in their pelvic health. Whichever service you choose at UROSPOT, our team will determine the right treatment plan that is individualized for your symptoms and your goals.,
Men: UROSPOT is a great option for men with bladder leaks, urgency, frequency, night waking and erectile dysfunction caused by pelvic floor dysfunction. Even men who have had a radical prostatectomy. Whichever service you choose at UROSPOT, our team will determine the right treatment plan that is individualized for your symptoms and your goals.
How long is treatment? How many sessions will I need?
Our Nurse will tailor an individualized treatment plan for you. For most people this means 6 sessions scheduled twice a week for three weeks. The treatment time on the chair takes 30 minutes.
Will I need to undress during my sessions?
No way! You remain fully clothed. There is no undressing into a gown either. You wear the clothes you arrive in.
Is a referral required to book an appointment?
No. You can book directly—no referral needed from health care providers. During your first visit, we’ll review your health concerns and begin building a targeted treatment plan that fits your needs.
Does pelvic floor therapy on the technology hurt?
You will experience tingling and contraction of ALL your pelvic floor muscles during your session. It is NOT painful, and you can resume daily activities immediately after your session.
How soon will I feel a difference?
Improvement in pelvic health occurs gradually with each session in your treatment plan. Some people begin to notice improvement as early as their first few sessions. Typically, you can expect your optimal outcomes to be achieved around 6 weeks post treatment.
Can men receive treatment at UROPSOT?
Absolutely. The technology is approved for both women and men. Many men struggle with bladder leaks, urgency, frequency, night waking and sexual functioning just like women do. We also help men who have had surgery due to prostate or bladder cancer.
